Description: This course reinforces the basic concepts of control self-assessment (CSA) and introduces the best practices and state-of-the-art approaches organizations are using today. The course is a combination of lecture, discussions in small groups and short exercises. The final exercise is a facilitated workshop where the participants compare their own self-assessment efforts to the best practices introduced in the course.
Audience: This seminar is intended for experienced CSA practitioners who want to improve or take the next step in their organization’s self-assessment efforts. The course is directed primarily at experienced auditors and managers that are presently conducting CSA workshops.
Prerequisites: Experience in conducting CSA workshops, and preferably holders or candidates for The IIA’s Certification in CSA (CCSA).
